Know the number
before anyone knocks.

Four questions, sixty seconds, real 2026 Greater Manchester rates. Scaffolding and waste shown separately so you can hold every other quote you've had up against it.

Question 01 / 04

What sort of property?

This gives us a roof area to work from.

Question 02 / 04

What shape is it?

Hipped roofs slope on all four sides — more cuts, more ridge, more days.

Question 03 / 04

Which covering?

Not sure what's up there now? Pick the nearest — Lee confirms on the survey.

Question 04 / 04

What needs doing?

Last one.

£0 – £0
A guide, not a quote. What it can't see: the state of your battens, whether the rafter feet have gone, and how easily scaffolding gets down the side of the house. Lee gives a fixed written price after a free twenty-minute survey — and if the roof has years left in it, he'll say so.

Want the exact figure?

Free survey, no call-out fee, usually within 48 hours.

Survey request received

Lee will text within a couple of hours to fix a time. If it's urgent, ring 07432 226881 — he picks up.

Storm season is six weeks out

October to February is when the phone doesn't stop — slipped ridge, blocked valleys, ceilings staining. Sorted in September it's a planned job. Sorted in December it's an emergency, and you're behind forty other people.

What actually moves the price

  • Shape before size — a hipped roof is a quarter more work than a gable of the same footprint
  • Covering — natural slate runs close to double concrete tile
  • Scaffolding, £780–£1,600. If a quote doesn't mention it, it's coming later
  • Hidden timber. Nobody knows until the tiles are off, including us

How Lee works

  • Free survey, no call-out fee, no obligation
  • Fixed written price — never a day rate
  • Scaffolding on its own line, always
  • Photographs at every stage
  • Ten-year workmanship guarantee in writing
Who's on your roof

Lee's up the
ladder, not in
an office.

No subcontractors arriving in an unmarked van. No call centre. The man who quotes your roof is the man who strips it, and he'll photograph every stage whether you ask or not.

If your roof has ten years left in it, he'll tell you that and lose the job. It's cost him money more than once. It's also why three quarters of the work comes from people passing his number on.

What we do

Three ways most
Stockport roofs go wrong.

01

Full re-roof

Strip to the rafters, breathable membrane, new treated battens, stainless fixings. Natural slate, clay or concrete tile. Any rotten timber gets photographed and priced before anything is fixed back down.

£5,900 – £13,200 · 3–5 days
02

Chimney, ridge & lead

Where nine out of ten leaks actually start. Ridge tiles re-bedded in lime mortar, code 4 lead flashing dressed properly into the brick course, valleys relined. Not a smear of mastic.

£620 – £1,650 · 1–2 days
03

Flat roofs, done once

EPDM rubber in a single sheet — no seams to split, no torch, no felt to blister in the second summer. Garages, extensions, dormers. Twenty-five year material guarantee in writing.

£2,500 – £4,400 · 2 days
How a job runs

Five days, and you
know where you stand
on every one.

Day 0

Survey and fixed price

Twenty minutes on site, up a ladder, into the loft. Written price by that evening.
Day 1 · 07:30

Scaffolding goes up

Erected and signed off before any tile is touched. Nobody works off a ladder.
Day 2

Strip and inspect

Old covering off, timbers exposed. Anything rotten is photographed and priced before it's covered.
Day 3–4

Membrane, battens, covering

Breathable membrane, treated battens, stainless fixings, ridge bedded in lime mortar.
Day 5

Clear site, photos, guarantee

Every nail magnet-swept off the drive. Photo set and the written ten-year guarantee by email.
“The only quote of three that put scaffolding on its own line.”
